I would suggest that you try to evaluate the technical approaches taken by (some) theses photographers to help support your own approach. Finally the evaluations are good but there is no sense of seeking out the connotations associated with the images you are evaluating... You need to do this e.g. a flower can be perceived to be delicate (but how do we know it is, we sense the delicacy from the intricate fine structure of the photo, from the connotations of delicacy flowere are often associated with romance... Landscapes which are barren are often described as wilderness and lonely these tow are connotations... try to update your proposal with comments on the connotations and possible techniques employed to create the images..
